It is always a pleasure ...

It is always a pleasure to get positive feedback from clients - it is really the icing on the cake of a job that I really enjoy - if I can leave the clients with a real enthusiasm for the garden which lies ahead of them, then I've done what I set out to do!

Here are some comments:

"We are absolutely delighted with the way the garden looks - it has been transformed! Everything is growing nicely now - we can't wait to see how it all develops."

Mr and Mrs M, the owners of a garden in Kent, who had an extension built on a lower level than the surrounding garden and needed to set it in its surroundings, re-using existing materials where possible - a mixed yorkstone and gravel terrace was created around the extension with wide steps leading up to the lawn and new herb garden above, with scented planting surrounding the old and new terrace.

Thank you so much for all your hard work ... for your enthusiasm and optimism - it is very encouraging to a novice and unconfident gardener"

Mr and Mrs C, the owners of a garden designed to encompass newly acquired land and look established in time for a wedding in September

"Thanks for making our garden the envy of our friends and neighbours ... Even though we're in the middle of London, you've created an oasis of calm with your clever and thoughtful design. It's beautiful, too - and perfectly reflects our rather complex requirements. Who would have thought that a long, narrow London garden could be totally transformed in such short time? We'd recommend you to anyone (and do!)"

Mr and Mrs S, owners of a garden I designed in London, which presented a real challenge, being very long and very thin!

"it has been wonderful to see our project with you come to fruition. We are thrilled with the garden and your design has exceeded all our expectations. With many thanks for all your wonderful work."

Mr and Mrs H, owners of a converted barn in Kent, the garden was completed in July 2007, and the design included a sandstone terrace, pergola, vegetable garden and late summer border

Mr and Mrs R, owners of a large garden of many levels on which I have been working over the past 18 months, work includes a new dining terrace, pergola, raised beds within a walled garden, a long raised garden walk with a pleached line of hornbeam, a terrace overlooking the main lawn and a formal circular pond

"We have loved having you in our lives - via the garden! - over the past year ... what a magnificent job you have made of it - an inspiration to us and all who enjoy our garden."

Mr and Mrs H, owners of a large Sussex garden, for which the design incorporated much earth moving to create different spaces and levels, an improved pool garden, summer borders around a large oval lawn, a family garden with eating terrace, pergola and planting to provide continuous interest throughout the year, a quarry garden overlooking the newly revealed quarry pond with waterfall and bridge, and a sculpted raised vantage point over the distant reservoir beyond the fields

"I have to say that Angela and I are absolutely delighted with the results, and there is no doubt that the garden will be giving us great pleasure for many years to come."

Mr and Mrs O, owners of a small steeply sloping garden near East Grinstead, designed and created in 2008, to allow access through the wetter months by dividing the garden into three different levels, having a strong plant bordered design around the top lawn, a second level for raised vegetable beds and steps leading to a third seating area amongst winter flowering shrubs

"Thank you so much for all your hard work on our wonderful garden. It has been just fabulous working with you. You're so meticulous and thorough, I have been able to let go and let you get on with it - heaven! And the results are beautiful!"

Mr and Mrs W, owners of a large sloping garden with far reaching views in East Sussex, developed from scratch around their new house which was under construction at the same time. The garden incorporated levelled lawns, large and smaller terraces, a pergola, a large vegetable garden, fruit cage, ornamental and fruit trees, formal and less formal planting. Lighting, irrigation, solar power and water re-cycling were all part of the brief.
